Promises Forfilled.
As promised. Lula scans and screen grabs from the video posted about previously.

I would have loved to have been at the Biennale this year. I love how this video gives you a little insight into what has been going on there this year and the interactivity. I think it is so wonderful to be able to be wholly physically merged with art, a part of it, not just observing or emotionally moved by it.
These are a few stills from the Topshop/Lula video you can watch below in my previous post.

So beautiful. Fairytales are my inspiration for pretty much everything. Ethereality, sorcery, vulnerabilty, riches and royalty, villains, vengeance, death, true love, sacrifice, heroines.
Every shot in this piece of film is so perfect. Hazy, dream-like, magic. The soft focus and lighting, sheer fabrics, nude colours, nature then in contrast with the threatening, manipulative nature of sorcery, imagery of death and witchcraft. If the film was instead a set of photographs, like the screen shots above, they would be equally mesmerizing.
Lula, itself, has fantastic layout and typography and is brimming with the most stunning photography. So different to anything you would see in any other High-Fashion magazine.
There is something my heart and attention can't seem to escape from when it comes to photography of the body being tactile, connecting to something through movement, touch, expression.
It is something I seem to focus on in my own photography, will have to have a look for some examples to show you.
