Sweet Dreams.
Apologies for the poor picture quality.
It's been a month of gorgeous sweet treats, serving as a wake up call from my belief that I make the best cupcakes. After devouring these powder colour delights, I have been well and truly proven wrong.
This raspberry-filled cupcake with vanilla buttercream was certainly needed after a re-acquaintance with my shaky-at-best nerves. The cakes were displayed on little stands, all different levels across a long table, very lovely. Lemon meringue, passion cake, florentines, victoria sponge.. Yum yum.
Then Darling Boy took me to the bakery in Waitrose. Cuppys of my dreams. But they insist on putting film on the cuppys before they are packed, which ruins the perfectly piped icing. They are forgiven though because these two were particularly scrumptious. Lavender & lemon in the prettiest shade of purple. Peppermint & chocolate...
As beautiful as they are, no cupcake can be as incredible as this light-up princess birthday cake of wonder! (Awful quality, you will not quite understand the brilliance, whick will be enough reason to buy another one..) Crunchy sprinkles, royal treasures, the tastiest princess pink butter cream and moist vanilla sponge... Perfect for any little madam. Especially me.
One of the nicest days recently, was spent with my lovely friend Jam. We wandered through the town, in and out of the charity shops, picking up ice cream on the way to the sweet shop in the arcade. There were apple whips, lemon bonbons, rhubarb custards, sugar mice, pink piglets, cola bottles and cherry kisses.
French patisseries are the ultimate in cakes and pastries. Pistache-Fraise and macaroons, s'il vous plais.
This times a thousand, plus pink champagne, feathers in my hair and silk dresses would equal my Marie Antoinette reverie.
